Nonwoven Solutions for Construction and Building Insulation

We offer functional and cost-effective solutions in building insulation with our high UV resistant and durable PP Spunbond fabrics developed for the construction industry.

Nonwovens provide critical advantages over traditional materials in building insulation, such as light weight, breathability and moisture permeability. It acts as a wind and dust barrier while allowing water vapor transmission in under-roof, exterior and flooring applications. Our UV stabilized formulations ensure that the fabric retains its mechanical properties during the installation process and long-term outdoor exposure.

Performance Characteristics in Building Insulation

Lightweight, durable and easy to apply, our nonwovens optimize the balance between cost and performance in building insulation.

Nonwoven fabrics used in building insulation are critical components that directly affect the energy efficiency of the building. While preventing rainwater leakage in under-roof applications, it prevents moisture accumulation inside the building. It acts as a wind barrier under siding and exterior claddings, reducing heat loss. When used as underfloor and tile primer, it compensates for floor irregularities and contributes to sound insulation. Thanks to our 240 cm and 320 cm wide production lines, we offer uninterrupted application on large surfaces.

Areas of Use

Siding and under-roof membrane, under-siding barrier, under-slab lining, under-ceiling coating, under-tile lining, under-tile lining, heat and sound insulation backing layer.

Frequently Asked Questions

01. Why are nonwoven fabrics preferred for under-roof insulation?

Nonwovens allow the passage of water vapor, preventing moisture accumulation and mold and mildew under the roof. They also act as a wind and dust barrier, protecting the performance of the insulation material. Thanks to their lightweight structure, they do not impose additional load on the roof construction.

Our UV stabilized Spunbond fabrics are manufactured to maintain their mechanical properties during the installation process and short-term outdoor exposure (usually 3-6 months). For permanent exterior applications, it is recommended to install the final coating material on the fabric in a reasonable time.

While the 40-80 gsm range is generally preferred for underfloor applications, 60-100 gsm weights are ideal for under-tile primers. For under-ceiling coatings and under-siding barriers, the 30-70 gsm range is widely used.
